Loops of the last hour 0 / 0 cameras

Why this exists. Every camera here is one its owner already publishes for anyone to watch. I put them on one screen so neighbors can check a route, a block or the river without hunting through a dozen sites. Nothing is private, nothing is hidden, and every view links back to the people who run it. Created by Cory Suida · corybuilt.com

About this project

phillystreetcam.org

phillystreetcam.org is a project I am developing at my own expense to make publicly viewable camera information easier to find and understand in Philadelphia, with particular interest in Center City.

The current website organizes traffic-camera locations and imagery through a geographic interface, with camera details, timestamps, and links to original sources. It provides a starting point for understanding what these publicly shared views show and where the information comes from.

I started this project because I believe public safety, privacy, and accountability should strengthen one another. Residents deserve understandable information about technologies that may affect their daily lives, civil liberties, personal safety, and ability to earn a living.

My longer-term goal is to build on this foundation with verified research into how camera systems and related data are collected, accessed, shared, retained, and governed. That work would support informed questions, constructive public discussion, and evidence-based independent review.

As the project develops, I intend to use AI to assist with research and organization, with human review of published findings. Its guiding commitments are lawful access, clear sourcing, accurate descriptions, appropriate privacy protections, and an open correction process.

I currently contribute my own time and money. Future support could help improve source documentation, accessibility, technical reliability, privacy safeguards, and authorized data integrations. I welcome contributions of expertise, reliable information, permitted data access, and financial support toward clearly described project needs.

My aim is to grow phillystreetcam.org into a trustworthy community resource that helps people understand the systems around them and participate meaningfully in decisions about their use.
